Monoceros
Every hero needs a team, right? Yeah, Othar really does like his team. On the other hand, he thinks mostly of himself, so he's not a good team player. If push came to shove he'd leave his team behind to get the win. ...Yeah. But! He's willing to take direction from his team, and will protect them because that's what a good hero does!
Rose - Aww she's so cute. He'd do her, but feels she's a bit too young for him. More like a granddaughter! Or maybe just a daughter, HE'S NOT SURE. Either way, she's a member of his team and he likes her.
Grandpa - SIDEKICK. Fellow old guy! Othar likes Akira probably more than he likes anyone else in the game besides himself. Akira plays a good straight-man, and keeps him grounded. They make a good pair!
Princess - F-for some reason Othar sees Princess as a girl. I MEAN. HE KNOWS SASUKE IS MALE and yet. So! He uh. Wouldn't do her, because she's not cute enough. Unless he got desperate, but he's not there yet. BEYOND THAT, he really does like Princess, in this sort of fatherly way. And totally fails to notice Princess's bad attitude unless it directly affects him. Like in the talent show.

Cloud - Cloud needs more self-confidence. Also, is good at fighting. COME LET US FIGHT TOGETHER TO PROVE YOU ARE STRONG.
Braid - Braid is interesting and nice! And fun to talk to. ALSO VERY TRUSTWORTHY.
Grape GRAPE IS AWESOME AND SMART. DID I MENTION SMART? YES. Othar wants to have long conversations with Grape.

State of the Union
SO OTHAR DOESN'T REALLY THINK ABOUT THINGS. Yeah.
Othar woke up, and he'd replaced another person on his team. But! No one seemed to mind, so he didn't put a lot of thought into it! He mostly just hung out with Akira and WALKED THROUGH BLOOD. Which! Also didn't bother him! Mostly, Othar goes through life being HAPPY and LOUD aaaaaaaand not really thinking about anything that isn't SCIENCE or his ultimate goal. In SLT his ultimate goal is winning back memories! So he thinks about ways to SCIENCE and ways to WIN. And also about good and evil and the effect on the universe, which he hasn't quite formulated into a theory but HE IS WORKING ON THAT.
And then he got back a memory about Jagermonsters, and immediately had to go tell BD, because HE THOUGHT THIS WAS INTERESTING (I-it wasn't actually immediately, but it was immediately after I got mod confirmation on what memory I had, so! Same thing). But this memory didn't really effect how he thinks, because he's already convinced he is AMAZINGLY SMART and PEOPLE LIKE HIM. So.
His second memory was more profound, and yet still doesn't really effect his way of thinking. It gave him some science knowledge, but he doesn't have the proper tools to DO much with it. Most of what he got back was building AWESOME THINGS out of shaped metal with high-tech tools. So... if he were to suddenly find a broken steam engine lying around, he could fix it! This isn't really all that helpful as it is, though.
AND THEN CAME THE GAME WHERE HE LOST HIS HAND. And like! That hurt! And his teammates freaked out! And other people freaked out! This mostly amused him, buuuuuut that might have been the bloodloss. And then Grape was kind enough to cauterize the wound, and this HURT EVEN MORE but also made Othar happy because yay! Help! And Joe got him alcohol! Also nice! But what confuses him is that now that the pain is over and the stump as healed as it can be, people are still freaking out! And they expect him to, as well! He doesn't get it! THE HAND IS GONE, CAN WE MOVE ON NOW?
Mostly, he's about the same HAPPY EXCITABLE guy as always, but he's more easily frustrated because lack of hand means a loss of fine motor skills. And this is annoying when he's trying to build something.
Yeah. Uh. Othar's KIND OF SIMPLE.
